I am on the verge of buying VAS Ultimate. Although the license assures me of receiving all the updates and upgrades, I would like to learn from you if the current product (and near term future releases) will function in Windows 8. I will be using a desktop computer and not a tablet or smartphone.

Yes, VAS already supports Windows 8. Virtual Audio Streaming is listed in Microsoft Compatibility Center
