Hi. I am getting a lot of white noise when using your software. Any suggestions?

Does the white noise exist in the recorded file or take place when you listen to sounds?

Also, send me a screenshot on your configurations, like the below picture.

If configured correctly, VAS should show no wav forms when there is no sounds being playing. In theory, if VAS does not receive audio data, it does nothing. So, no white noise is introduced.

If you see wav forms when there is no sounds, it might be environment noise. Also check the 'start button' for physical microphone (on the left panel of VAS) is not turned on.

Thank you. Well, here is my set up, maybe you can offer some advice. I'm also getting some crackling too on occasion. I'm not sure how to utilize the VAS window with 2 drivers as I can only seem to open 1. I am not using any of the functions in VAS controller besides adjusting the buffer. Right now I have it set to 9000.

I have 2 drivers installed on a server with no sound card. This is for a talk radio station on a remote server. Windows 2008

Sam Broadcaster is running with Air OUT output 1 (The music from the decks) to VAS Speakers 1
Skype speakers are set to VAS Speakers 1
These two signals are combined by Speakers 1 which mirror to Microphone 1
Sam broadcaster encoders are set to microphone 1 so they are broadcasting the music from SAM as well as the Skype voice.
The skype voice is inbound, so the skype speaker settings are carrying the sound from the remote host in another location.

Sam Broadcaster is using Cue (output 2) to Speakers 2 that also sends the audio through microphone 2
Microphone 2 is is going into Skype microphone which feeds the music/commercials into Skype so the remote host can hear it at a very low volume.

Do you have any better ideas?

How about the performance of your server? Your configurations may require high performance server.

When broadcasting starts, you can see the buffer progress bar, if it overflows, you may get crackling. In this case, your should enlarge the buffer size in VAS.
